Conditions!

AHHHHH That was so cool! haha. Haha, That ^ picture looks edited, but I swear it isn't (besides switching it to black and white in photoshop) I think it's my favorite out of all of them.
Ok, so, for those who don't know, I drove down to New Hampshire last night to see Conditions. They were AWESOME! (But that's not really a surprise.) I had such a great time.

If you're looking for pics, and you don't want to read through this, there are pictures at the bottom of this post. :)

There were 5 bands playing, but I only stuck around for 3 and a half because my supervisor at work is an idiot and said I had to be back in Maine for a last minute meeting at 8 in the morning that he wouldn't let me be late to. (even though I asked for Sunday off and he had already excused someone else in my department from the meeting...) ass.

First band was pretty good, they were called The Goodnight Process and they were actually from Maine. I talked to them for a bit and bought their EP. Pretty cool.
Second band, Pira Reis, sounded like they would normally be very good, but their sound for the singer's mic was a little messed up. They also almost caught fire during their set, haha. One of their lights was a bit too close to some sort of fabric. Also, halfway through Pira Reis' set I turned to my right and went "hmm, well hello there Mr. Brandon Roundtree." Totally didn't realize I had been standing next to him, lol. And then I looked to my left and, standing next to my sister were Ryan and his GF.
THEN (also during Pira Reis' set) this CRAAAAAAZY dude comes tearing through the place and starts... hmm, I don't wanna call it "moshing" because it really wasn't, it was more like... violent interpretive dance, haha. Yeah, anyway, crazy dude starts flailing around like a fish on dry land, runs at Brandon, ends up headbutting the poor guy in the chest and sends him flying back in to 3 guys who were standing behind him. Brandon was like o.O wtf?! hah, but he laughed it off so it was cool.

Then Conditions played! Woohoo! There were only about 25 kids at the show, so I was able to get up really close. Brandon made everyone stand right up in front of the stage (which I totally didn't mind, haha) so I ended up being RIGHT next to him. It was pretty awesome. I got spit on a few times though (not purposely) while he was singing.
Alex ended up slicing his hand open almost as soon as they started playing and he ended up getting blood all over his nice white guitar, aw. But he was ok.
Also, Riley wasn't there, there was a fill-in for bass, but I can't for the life of me remember his name. :( He was really nice though, and funny. He kept playing Muse songs during soundcheck :) and He somehow managed to tear the side of his shoe before The Goodnight Process started playing, he wasn't very happy. :/ I wouldn't be either, lol.

What I can remember of the setlist:
Man to Mannequin
Our Way Home
Illuminati
Citizen
Keeping Pace With the Planes
There may have been another one in there between Man to Mannequin and Our Way Home, but I can't remember for sure. Yeah, my memory sucks... haha.

After their set, I got a chance to say "great job" to just about everyone in the band. They were busy breaking down their set, so I didn't want to interrupt too much. Ended up talking to Brandon for a little while though, he's really cool.

I took a couple pictures, but my camera really doesn't do well in anything other than blinding sunlight and, silly me, I figured I'd leave my 'good' camera at home because A) It's a bigger camera, so I didn't know if they would let me in with it and B) I didn't know how rough the crowd would be, didn't want to break the camera. But the crowd was super small and there were two people there with DSLRs... even bigger than my 'good' camera. dang. Oh well.
My pictures came out really crappy for the most part, but I got some really good video and I screencapped some stuff from that to show.
Um.. there are gonna be a lot of pics... for a journal post anyway. Sorry. haha.

Rocko's (Where they played)

I was that close. Haha, it was awesome.

Alex

Brandon

Jason

Ryan. Why does it always have to be so hard to get pics of the drummer? Haha. :/

Some general "action" shots:

I still have a bunch of pictures, but I think this is enough for now.
Might upload a video at some point, we'll see.

The Killing Moon

The Killing Moon is a band from Hampden, Maine with quite a unique but impressive sound. This five-piece group consists of Ryan Hannan on guitar, Trevor Geaghan on bass, Jeremy Yehle on drums and, an added twist, Dan Lafayette and Chris Michaud on trombone and saxophone respectively.
The Killing Moon was originally called Animal Suit Driveby, but after deciding they did not want to be associated with ska, they changed their band name, and made the horns more of a background instrument.
All of their songs have such energy and emotion in them and the addition of the trombone and saxophone adds an extra kick. Their sound ranges from passionate screaming lyrics (Subject A) to something a bit more soft but just as emotional (A Book of Love Stories). With hard and fast guitar lines, and horns as backup, this is definitely a band worth checking out.

The Killing Moon is currently on the Fearless Records label and has an EP out, "A Message Through Your Teeth" released in March, 2006. They have two newer songs, "The Full Count", and "Slow it Down" on their MySpace page. The Killing Moon did a cover of Alanis Morrissette's "You Oughta Know" for the album "Punk Goes ‘90s”. Though there are no plans in the works for a new record at the moment, The Killing Moon is actively touring during summers.

Suggested Listening:

Made For Each Other II (Epilogue)

Thanks so much for the comments on chapter 18, I was really proud of that chapter, haha.
HUGE thank you to Katie (herewegoagain180). If it weren’t for her, this epilogue would be about a third as long as it is. Haha.
Thanks everyone for sticking with this story! :D Hope you enjoyed it.

When Hayley awoke the following morning, she felt surprisingly rejuvenated and content. She laid in bed with her eyes closed, knowing that if she opened them, she would have to face the truth. She was alone.
She sighed quietly and rolled onto her back, wrapping the blankets around her body tightly. Seconds later, she felt a warm kiss on her forehead causing her eyes to flutter open in confusion.
It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the bright morning light that flooded the room, but she could make out the figure of someone leaning over her. Was that…? No, it couldn’t be.
“Morning, beautiful.” The figure said. Hayley felt tears spring to her eyes as Josh’s face finally came into focus above her. She flung her arms around him, pulling him on to the bed in the process.
“I thought you were gone!” She whispered, tears running down her face.
“I’m here.” He soothed, stroking her hair gently. “I’m not going anywhere.”
“Wait…” Hayley frowned as she pulled away from Josh and cocked her head to the side curiously. “Why are you young?” She asked as she studied him, the lines of age in his face had faded away. He looked to be in his early twenties, not his seventies.
“Why – why am I young?” She asked, staring at her smooth hands. She glanced in the mirror across from the bed to find a young Hayley staring back at her, flaming red hair and all.
“Josh?” She questioned. He simply stared at her, sympathy written over his features.
“I – we’re…” She stuttered. “We’re dead. Aren’t we?” She said, voice barely above a whisper. Josh nodded solemnly.
“The kids!” She said frantically.
“Are fine.” Josh assured.
“Zac… and Taylor…” She whispered.
“They’re alright too.” He wrapped his arms around her. “We’ll see them again someday soon.”
Hayley sat very still as she tried to absorb all that was happening. After a few moments of lingering concern, she finally allowed a smile to grace her lips.
“I thought I lost you.” She whispered. Josh leaned in and kissed her slowly.
“I’m never going anywhere.” He assured. Hayley grinned but held on to him tightly, just in case.

“Jeremy is freaking out. He wants to see you.” Josh laughed as he stashed is iPhone in his pocket. A wave of disbelief washed over Hayley once more. She hadn’t seen that iPhone in decades. There was so much surrounding her that she hadn’t seen in so long. She loved it.
“Jer-bear?” Hayley grinned widely. “Jermey is here?” She asked.
“Of course he is.” Josh smiled. Hayley immediately threw her dirty dishes from lunch into the sink and hurried to the door.
“Come on!” She said, bouncing on her heels in excitement.
“Ok, calm down you friggin’ jackrabbit.” Josh teased. She rolled her eyes and pulled him out the door, knowing exactly where Jeremy would be.

“Schzimmy!” Hayley yelled as she and Josh approached a small park.
“Hayley!” Jeremy yelled back. She ran over and tackled him happily. For a vertically challenged person, she sure could jump high.
“God, I missed you.” She mumbled as she hugged him tightly.
“I missed you, too.” Jeremy grinned and planted a friendly kiss on the top of her head. Josh hugged Jeremy quickly once Hayley finally let go, and the three of them stood in a small circle, grinning.
“We look like idiots.” Josh noted as he thought about what they must look like to anyone passing by.
“Did you take care of Sarah for me?” Jeremy asked. Hayley nodded vigorously.
“She misses you so much, Jeremy.” Hayley said with a small smile. Jeremy nodded shortly and ran his fingers through his hair.
“I miss her too.” He said. “But I’d rather her be with the kids than here with me right now.” Hayley nodded in understanding and hugged him quickly.
“So…” Josh said quietly after a few moments of silence.
“Is there a Starbucks around here or what?” Hayley asked, trying to lighten the mood.
“Right this way.” Jeremy laughed. She wrapped her arm around his waist and the three of them walked to the nearest shop to catch up on recent happenings.

As Josh and Hayley walked back home, Hayley smiled. They lived in their old apartment now, from way back when they had first been married. She loved opening the door and seeing it just as it had been all those years ago.
The in-home recording studio was there, the ‘recording’ sign was hung above the door, the old leather couch Hayley loved was in the living room, even the picture of Hayley that had sparked a romance between she and Josh was sitting on the bedside table. Everything was the same as it had been when they were at their best as a couple. Well, their best before the kids had come along anyway.
Once inside, Hayley made a beeline for the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed with a smile. “I forgot how comfortable this bed was.” She said happily.
“Mmhmm.” Josh agreed as he settled in next to her. He slipped his arm under her neck and they laid in silence, simply enjoying each other’s company. Josh turned to look at Hayley and saw worry reflected in her eyes.
“They’re fine. I promise.” Josh whispered, kissing her cheek lightly. He knew Hayley was still concerned about how their family and friends would deal with two deaths so close to one another, but he knew everyone would be all right. They could handle it. Hayley nodded, though she obviously wasn’t quite convinced just yet.
Josh leaned over and kissed her hard on the mouth. She groaned into the kiss and smiled widely as he pulled back. He gently placed one hand on the side of her face and looked her square in the eyes.
“They can handle it, Hayley. They know we’re here watching over them. They know we love them. They know we’re better off.” Josh said.
“It doesn’t make it easier.” Hayley replied quietly.
“I know.” Josh sighed. “Trust me, I know.”
Without warning, Hayley reached out and gently ran her tiny fingers along his lower lip until they brushed over his silver lip ring. She pulled him close and kissed his lips gently, right where her fingers had been only seconds before. She gently tugged at the metal ring with her teeth and laughed as Josh made a cute little grunting noise.
“I missed that ring.” She smiled devilishly.
“Why did I ever take this out?” Josh sighed, eyes still shut. He raised his fingers to his lip and smiled.
“Cause you would’ve looked like a crazy old dude if you’d kept it in.” Hayley explained with a smile. Josh shook his head, laughing slightly.
He rolled onto his back and shut his eyes. Hayley cuddled up next to him and he smiled. He felt completely relaxed for the first time in ages now that she was with him. He absentmindedly traced his fingers along her side and allowed his thoughts to consume him.
“So, I’ve been wondering.” Josh said nonchalantly as one particular thought kept at nagging him.
“Hmm?” Hayley asked, scooting closer and resting her head on his shoulder.
“If sex with you felt like heaven while we were living, what the hell does it feel like now?” He questioned.
Hayley laughed and buried her head in his chest. He was definitely still her Josh. Her continuously horny and curious, not to mention sometimes annoying, Josh.
She wouldn’t have him any other way.

Made For Each Other II (Chapter 18)

Please read the entry before this one, it's a quick little thanks/sorry entry. :)
This was hard to write. Short epilogue on the way.

Love of mine, someday you will die, but I’ll be close behind. I’ll follow you into the dark. No blinding lights, or tunnels to gates of white. Just our hands clasped so tight, waiting for the hint of a spark. If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied, illuminate the “no’s” on their vacancy signs. If there’s no one beside you when your soul embarks…

“I’ll follow you into the dark.” Hayley whispered as she kissed Josh’s forehead gently.
She smiled sadly to herself as his casket was closed and lowered into the ground. She could hear sniffles and muffled sobs all around her, but she refused to be upset. He’d had a great 78 years of life.
Josh had his ups and downs, sure, but he had experienced a lot, he had lived his dreams. He had been in a band and, as if that wasn’t enough, his band mates hadn’t been just band mates, they had been his best friends too. He had been married to the love of his life, and the spark between them never fizzled out. They always acted like they were crazy teens, recklessly in love. Even in their later years.
Josh was also lucky enough to have had three beautiful children with Hayley. He had gone on to see his children get married and have children of their own. He and Hayley were now proud grandparents to eight grandchildren, all of whom were either about to start college, were already in college, or were recent college graduates.
Yes, he’d had a good life.
Hayley smiled sadly, it was his time. He had done everything he’d wanted to do in life, they both had. She considered herself extraordinarily lucky for that.

She was suddenly pulled from her memories by a muffled cry. “Hayley, don’t cry.” She said gently as she turned to face her youngest granddaughter, and namesake.
“He wouldn’t want you to be sad.” She continued. “He had a good life.” She felt her own throat tighten as she spoke. It killed her to see her children and grandchildren upset.
The younger Hayley nodded slowly, tears still streaming down her pretty face.
Hayley placed a finger under her granddaughter’s chin and gently pulled up so their eyes met. “He got to see you grow up and become a beautiful young woman. And he lives on through you, your brothers and your cousins.” She soothed. “I promise you he passed happily. There… there was nothing left for him here.” She finished quietly, feeling a tear roll down her aging cheek.
“It’s better this way.” She whispered, enveloping her granddaughter in a hug. “He’s in a better place now, looking over all of us.” She felt tears seep through her black cardigan as her granddaughter cried silently into her shoulder and felt another tear roll down her own cheek.
“Oh, Mom!” Mackenzie whispered as she walked over and saw the tears on Hayley’s cheek.
“I’m fine.” Hayley insisted, waving her hand in the air as she gently pulled away from her granddaughter. “Where’s your uncle Zac?” She asked.
“Over with Taylor.” Mackenzie replied quietly, nodding to one of the many black cars surrounding the grievers. Hayley smiled sadly and walked over to her band mates.

“And then there were three…” Zac sighed as they grouped together in a hug. Jeremy had passed away two years before, but he was ready, just as Josh was.
“Are you going to be alright?” Taylor asked Hayley. She nodded slowly
“I’ll see him again someday.” She whispered. A gasp escaped Zac’s throat and he pinched the bridge of his nose, in between his eyes, trying not to cry. Hayley immediately wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
“Stop!” She said shakily into his chest. “It’s better this way, you know he’d go mad if he was here much longer.” She gasped. Zac ran his fingers through her hair comfortingly and tried to pull himself together.
“Let’s get you home.” He whispered finally. Hayley nodded and rested her head on his shoulder as he led her to the car.

“Are you going to be alright on your own?” Jake asked as he opened the door of his childhood home for his mother.
“I’ll be fine.” Hayley smiled. “I love you baby, we both do.”
“Love you too, Mom.” Jake smiled. “You’re sure you’re alright alone?” Hayley nodded.
“Alright, Tyler and I will be by tomorrow morning.” Jake said, hugging her. Hayley smiled and shut the door behind him as he left.
She sighed as she looked around her now empty house. It really was far too big now, but Josh had always refused to sell it. They’d had it since Mackenzie was born. Now that Josh was gone, Hayley would have to sell it. She couldn’t possibly live there on her own, it would be too painful to be surrounded by his smell in their home every day.
Hayley shuffled up to the bedroom and changed for bed. She waited for Josh to walk through the door and lay down next to her, like he always did, but he never came. She drew in a shaky breath and reached for the picture frame that sat on her bedside table.
As she looked into Josh’s eyes in the photo, she felt hot tears sting at her own eyes. Before long, they were streaming down her face continually.
“I miss you.” She whispered, lip trembling. “I will always love you.” She raised the photo to her lips and kissed it gently.

You and me have seen everything to see. From Bangkok to Calgary, and the soles of your shoes are all worn down. The time for sleep is now. It’s nothing to cry about, because we’ll hold each other soon…

Just Some Stuff...

Just wanted to say a little something before I post this next chapter, I didn't really want to say it all in the same entry as the chapter.
It came up a bit faster than I thought it would. I definitely thought this story would last longer, but I’m out of ideas, lol.

First of all, I want to say sorry for complaining all the way through MFEOII, haha. I think I’ve just been comparing it to the original MFEO (which is so much better, don’t even try arguing that one with me. lol) and I ended up psyching myself out thinking this one wasn’t good enough. So yeah, sorry! :)
And a special sorry goes out to Amanda, she seemed to get the brunt of my complaints about this story. Sorry, Amanda! And thank you for being so supportive, and for listening, and for not telling me to “shut the hell up already.” haha. You’re awesome. :D

Second, this next chapter is what made me decide to do a sequel. I had never even thought about doing a sequel, but I was listening to my iPod in between classes one November morning and a certain song started playing and I happened to be thinking about MFEO and something just clicked. (The song will be revealed in the next chapter :P). As soon as I got to my next class, I pulled out a pen and paper and scribbled away until I had about 4 handwritten pages …still have no idea what the teacher talked about in class that particular day…

Throughout this whole story, I’ve been wondering if I should just have posted this next chapter as a “MFEO one shot follow up” thing, and there were so many times I wanted to pull the plug on MFEOII and just post this next chapter and call it good. But after all is said and done, I am glad that I did stick with MFEOII, even if it isn’t my favorite story.
I hope you enjoy the next chapter. I (strangely) enjoyed writing it. It was definitely a bit of a challenge for me.

Ok, the next chapter will be up as soon as I'm done with it. Yeah, yeah, it has technically been written since November, but I'm re-writing bits of it to fit better with the story. :P
I promise it will be up by the end of the day.

Made For Each Other II (Chapter 17)

I guess I'm not too upset with this chapter, but it is slightly filler-ish. haha. Only a few more chapters left!
I really like the next chapter... just so you know.

Josh’s head snapped around as he heard a car outside his family’s home. Hayley laughed at him and rested her head on his shoulder.
“She won’t be back for at least another hour babe.” Hayley whispered. Josh grunted and turned his attention back to the show they were watching. Mackenzie was out at a football game with her boyfriend and Josh was anxious to say the least.
Normally, Josh and Hayley would be at the football game too, cheering Jake on, but Mac had convinced Hayley to keep Josh away for the night so she could have some privacy.
Hayley rested her hand on Josh’s leg and absentmindedly ran her fingers along the fabric of his jeans. Josh cleared his throat and felt a blush creep over his cheeks. Hayley looked up and giggled as she realized what she was doing.
“Well, we are all alone for the first time in months…” She whispered, shifting her position on the couch so she was straddling him. Josh forced a smile and kissed her hesitantly. He turned quickly as he heard another car drive by outside.
“Jooooosh!” Hayley complained. “She isn’t coming home anytime soon, pay attention.” She scolded lightly.
“Sorry, I’m just… a worried dad.” He replied. Hayley smiled in understanding and nodded.
“She’s fine, and Jake and Tyler are there to stop anything you deem disgraceful.” She assured. “I’m a worried parent too, I understand where you’re coming from, but everything is fine.”
“Yeah, yeah.” He replied. “Only difference is, you’re a sexy worried parent.” He smiled slyly, pushing her down onto the couch. He kissed her lightly, but passionately and grinned as her nails dug into his back.
Just as Hayley began to nip at his neck, another car drove by, causing Josh to pop his head over the top of the couch once more. Hayley rolled her eyes and wiggled out from under him.
“You look like a meerkat.” She laughed as she looked at him. He was perked up, looking to the door, an eager spark in his eyes. He frowned as no one walked through the door and turned back to Hayley, ready to resume their little activity.
“Nope. It’ll have to wait ‘till later.” Hayley said, dodging her husband gracefully. Josh pouted and gave her his best puppy dog eyes.
“You’re too distracted, I’m going to go change for bed.” Hayley laughed.
“I’m gonna stay here.” Josh mumbled pitifully.
“Thought so.” Hayley smiled. “Be back in a minute.” She kissed him quickly and disappeared up the stairs. Josh sighed and looked at the clock for the millionth time that night. Time had been going by slowly enough without Hayley getting him all hot and bothered, now it was just going to be torturous.

This wasn’t the first time Mac had been out with Ben, but it was the first time the two had been out alone, with neither of their parents lurking somewhere close by. It would never get any easier for Josh. He didn’t want his little girl to grow up, he wanted to always be there to protect her from anything that might come her way.
Josh flipped around as he heard the handle to the front door turn and frowned as Mackenzie walked in.
“You’re early.” He said after glancing at the clock again. Mackenzie nodded and threw her keys onto a small table by the door.
“Ben had to get home.” She replied tiredly.
“Did you have fun?” Josh asked. His daughter shrugged.
“Where’s mom?” She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
“She’s changing into her pajamas.” Josh replied, standing up and walking around the couch to face her. “Are you ok?” He asked. Usually Mac was smiling like mad when she came home from seeing Ben.
Josh’s eyes went wide as his daughter broke down. Apparently “are you ok” was the key that opened the floodgates. She began sobbing and latched herself around her father’s waist.
“Whoa!” Josh gasped. “What happened?” He hugged her tightly and stroked her hair.
“B-Be-n-en” She gasped, unable to actually speak.
“Shhh.” Josh soothed, uh oh, boy trouble. Where the hell was Hayley? He rubbed Mackenzie’s back and whispered, what he hoped was, soothing words to her while he waited for Hayley to come back.

“Ben dumped me.” Mackenzie finally managed, pulling away from Josh a bit.
“What? Why?” Josh asked, confused. They seemed like they liked each other. Well, as much as two fourteen year olds could anyway.
Mackenzie blushed a bit. “He got mad that I wouldn’t make out with him. He said it means I don’t like him.” She said quietly.
Josh grinned. “Good for you.” He replied.
“Daaaaaaaad!” Mackenzie whined, bursting into tears again.
“Oh no! Shh!” Josh jumped forward, hugging her again. “I just mean you did the right thing, honey. I’m proud of you. You weren’t ready. It doesn’t mean you don’t like him, it just means he’s an assh- uh, I mean, he’s an idiot.” Mackenzie laughed a bit through her tears and took a shaky breath.
“Josh! What did you do to her?” Hayley said softly as she came down the stairs. She had a pretty good idea what had happened, but she wanted to try to lighten the situation a bit.
“What? I didn’t!” Josh said instantly. Mackenzie let out a short laugh and pulled away to run over to her mother.
“Relax Josh, I was joking.” Hayley smiled. “Come on Mac, let’s go to your room, sweetie.” Mac nodded, fresh tears brimming in her pretty eyes.

Josh’s heart broke for her. He was hoping he had a few more years, or months at the very least, before a boy would hurt her enough to make her cry like she was. He was completely terrified of the day she actually had her heart broken for the first time, she was too sweet a girl to have her poor little heart broken.
He frowned, trying to think of what he could do to make things better, or at least easier for his daughter. He felt completely useless. All he could do was hug her and make her go “daaaaaaaaaad” in complaint. Not the most useful thing in a situation like this.
What did girls like when they were sad? Josh drew a blank, he had no idea. He shrugged and headed to the kitchen. Mac loved grandma’s Italian hazelnut biscotti cookie recipe; maybe those would cheer her up.

“That was sweet, Josh.” Hayley smiled as she leaned against the doorframe in Mac’s room. “She loved the cookies. Great idea.”
Josh shrugged. “I feel so useless.” He sighed.
“Me too.” Hayley admitted.
“I hate this. I hate seeing her hurt.” Josh said quietly.
“I know.” Hayley frowned as they watched her sleep. “That’s life though, and she’s young. It could have been much worse.”
“It will be much worse.” Josh groaned. “I don’t want her dating, it’s too painful.” He mumbled. Hayley smiled and laughed quietly.
“Come on.” She dragged him away from the door and closed it quietly behind her. “Did the boys get back from the game ok?”
“Yeah.” Josh nodded. “First thing Ty did when he walked through the door was ask if Mac was ok, he wanted to come up and see her, but I figured it wasn’t the best idea right then. Jake had no idea what happened. But as soon as he found out, I had to smooth talk him out of kicking Ben’s sorry little ass.” Josh smiled. Hayley laughed and shook her head.
“See, Mac’s got three tough guys to intimidate future boyfriends. She’ll be ok.” Hayley said with a yawn. Josh nodded in agreement and pulled Hayley to his side. They walked down the hallway, checking in on Tyler and Jake as they walked by their rooms, and finally arrived at their own room. Josh collapsed into bed and pulled back the blankets for Hayley to climb in.

“This is when things really get interesting.” Josh yawned. “Jake’s going to be in college soon, Tyler is starting the whole ‘serious relationship’ thing, and Mac’s really starting to be a teenager.”
Hayley nodded and cuddled up to Josh. “I’m up for the challenge if you are.” She said happily. Josh smiled and kissed her nose lightly.
“I’m up for anything so long as you’re with me.” He said, wrapping his arms around her waist. She rolled her eyes and buried her face in the crook of his neck, feeling indescribably safe and relaxed in his arms.

Virginia/D.C.

I'm back! And I have pictures! If you're interested... If not, I should (hopefully) have a new chapter of MFEOII up soonish. I finally have a potentially lame idea for the next chapter, but it should be wrapping up in the next 3 chapters or so.
Anyway!

Monday: My aunt took us to Luray Caverns in Virginia (and to the mall, hello Leila, darling!! haha)

Lake in the caverns. Cool no? :)

Wednesday: Woke up at 4am so we could leave by 5 to head in to D.C. Ick. I was so tired. haha. Anyway, my sis and I went to a bunch of the Smithsonian museums.
At the National Archives, I made a new Presidential Seal:

I thought the corn husks were a nice touch. xD

Found some funny signs in the Air and Space Museum

Ah! Don't eat me! ...ok. That was lame, sorry.

Thursday: Took my cousin to the Zoo! Holy crap, she was zipping around the place on 4 hours of sleep. How do two year olds have so much energy?!

Aw, he's smiling. haha.

Saw some dude cut off a hippo's tooth. Apparently it only happens once every 2-3 years. If the keepers don't cut them, the teeth will grow into the roof of the poor hippo's mouth. I guess in the wild, the teeth break off from fighting.
It didn't hurt the hippo at all, he was more than willing to let his tooth get cut off, haha. My cousin however, freaked a bit. She thought the man was going to cut her teeth too... haha. She's so cute.

Friday: Back to the District. Went to loads of monuments, walked about 5 miles. And I went to the International Spy Museum!! Thanks for the tip Amanda, it was awesome. My spy cover: Angelena Falcone. 21 year old Travel Agent from Mirano, Italy. :)

Union Station. Sat there for 2 and a half hours in the morning because nothing really interesting opens in DC until at least 9/9:30. (did this on Wednesday too).

Hello Mr. Lincoln!

Found an awesome bobble head for my dad at the Spy Museum. He laughed so hard when I gave it to him. xD

New York on the flight home, Friday night. Ugh, that was the longest day I've had in a while. Woke up at 4 in the morning and didn't get to sleep again until after 3 the next morning.

aaaaand that's about it. haha.

Made For Each Other II (Chapter 16)

AHHH No time to update! haha.
This one is kinda boring. :/ But it’s all I could think of for now. I wanted to get something up this morning since I probably won’t be able to write/update this week. Sorry!!
Don’t have time to check for grammar/spelling. Sorry.

“What exactly happened?” Laura asked as she and Hayley watched Taylor and Josh scream at each other.
“Apparently Tyler and Arianna had sex.” Hayley sighed.
“What?!” Laura yelped. “Tyler? And Ani? They did what?!” She bit her lip. Yeah, that little fact didn’t make for a happy Taylor. His reaction was definitely understandable now.
“I know.” Hayley groaned. “I don’t know what to do.”
“I do! Arianna is grounded!” Laura huffed.
“Tyler too. Well, he will be anyway.” Hayley replied.
“My baby…” Laura whispered.
Hayley shook her head. “I can’t believe this is happening.” She groaned. They watched their husbands scream at each other a bit longer, while they both tried getting over the shock of the news.
“I think they’re overacting a bit.” Hayley said, finally.
“Same.” Laura agreed.
“Should we stop them before they kill each other?” Hayley asked. Laura nodded.

“How the hell is this Ty’s fault?!” Josh screamed. “If your daughter hadn’t seduced him -”
“What?! Arianna would never do that! Tyler made her!” Taylor yelled back. “It was all his fault! Face it, Josh! He’s a teenaged boy, it was obviously his idea.”
“It was not!” Josh argued. “I raised my kid right!”
“Hey!” Hayley hollered, trying to silence the men. “Josh! Taylor! Shut up!” But it was no use, they just kept yelling.
Soon, an ear-piercing whistle filled the room. Hayley smacked her hands over her ears and turned to look at Laura. Laura looked satisfied as quiet filled the room, she hadn’t had to use that whistle in months. It was usually reserved for times when her boys were fighting, which happened less and less as they got older.
She turned to face Josh and Taylor. “Shut. Up.” She said simply. “It doesn’t matter who’s “fault” it was.”
“They both did it.” Hayley added. “They both share the blame. And at least they were safe about it.”
“No! You two can’t seriously be saying this is ok.” Taylor said, shaking his head in disbelief.
“We aren’t saying it was necessarily the right choice, but what’s done is done.” Laura said carefully. “We have to respect their decision.”
“If we just yell at them, and tell them they are wrong, they may be more inclined to do it again.” Hayley pointed out. “We certainly need to say we’re disappointed in them, but we can’t just tell them that it was completely wrong and never to do it again.”
“They’re rebellious teens!” Laura laughed. “They’re going to defy their parents. Hayley is right, if we yell at them, they’re more likely to continue. Just because they know it would make us angry.”
“This is ridiculous.” Josh shrugged. “I can’t even yell at my own kid for doing something he should have waited to do.”
“Josh, maybe we didn’t make it clear enough as to why Ty should have waited.” Hayley said, placing her fingers under his chin and pulling his head up until their eyes met. “All we really did was say “wait ‘till marriage” we never really explained why. No one ever told him how much more special it is if you wait.”
“And who knows, maybe Arianna and Tyler will end up married!” Laura pointed out. Hayley smiled, while Taylor and Josh shot matching death glares at their respective wives.
“What the heck is going on down here?” Arianna asked, walking down the stairs.
“Upstairs!” Taylor shouted. Arianna’s froze, taken aback by the angry tone in her father’s voice.
“Stay in your room, Arianny, sweetie.” Laura said, as calmly as she could manage. “Your father and I will be up to talk to you in a few minutes.”
Arianna nodded slowly, sheer panic written all over her face as she looked from the Farros to her parents. It was suddenly very clear what the adults were talking about. She turned quickly and hurried up he stairs.
“Come on, Josh.” Hayley sighed. “Let’s go, we have to talk to Ty.”
“What do we do about them?” Taylor asked pointing upstairs to Arianna’s room.
“Well, I guess we can’t really do much.” Hayley said. “I mean, we can’t tell them they aren’t allowed to be together.”
“We just have to try and stay clam while talking to them.” Laura said. “Yes, this is a big deal, but it’s going to be ok. And I doubt they’ll do it again anytime soon.” Hayley nodded in agreement.

“We’ve survived so much crap, Josh.” Hayley said as she led her husband back to their house. “We can get through this no problem.” Josh sighed and nodded.
“I know.” He said. “I just wish he would have waited.”
“Me too.” She sighed. “Just, try not to kill him when we get home. Ok?”
Josh laughed and nodded. “I’ll do my best.”

Later that night, as Hayley and Josh were preparing for bed, there was a light knock on the door.
“Come in.” Josh called out wearily. It had been a long day and he was more than ready for bed.
“Oh, hey Ty.” Hayley said as their son walked into the room. “What’s up?”
“Uh, I just wanted to say…” Tyler took a deep breath and started over, “I just wanted to say, I’m sorry. I know I’ve said it a lot, but I really do see why I should have waited. And I don’t know why I didn’t, I guess it just felt like the right thing to do.” Josh nodded slowly and Hayley opened her mouth to speak.
“But.” Ty said firmly, cutting Hayley off before she could speak. “Even though I do see that I should have waited, I don’t regret it and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
“You wouldn’t change the fact that we found out?” Josh asked, raising an eyebrow.
Tyler blushed, “Well yeah… Might change that.” He mumbled. Josh laughed.
“I’m glad you’re being honest.” Hayley smiled. “While we’re still disappointed about the circumstances, I guess I can kind of understand. I mean, I was young too, once.” She smiled. Tyler nodded slowly and tried not to think about his mother being a young teen. Gross.
“Ok, well… I guess I’m gonna to go to bed now.” Tyler said.
“Night, Ty.” Hayley smiled. She hugged Ty and turned to her bed.
“Tyler, wait.” Josh called as his son turned to leave. He walked over and gave Tyler a big bear hug. Tyler smiled and hugged back tightly.
“Next time, throw away the wrapper.” Josh advised.
“Next time?” Hayley and Tyler said together, in shock.
“Yeah, next time, when you’ve been married for two years first.” Josh ruffled Tyler’s hair. Tyler rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“Night, Dad.” He said.
“Night, Ty.” Josh smiled. As soon as Tyler was gone, Josh groaned and collapsed onto the bed.
“I can’t believe today.” He said, voice muffled in his pillow. “I want to wake up tomorrow and find out this was all a dream.
“Join the club.” Hayley sighed. Josh turned his head and looked at her.
“You alright?” He asked as he studied her face. Her expression was difficult to read, and Josh was far too tired to even attempt to try.
“Yeah…” She said uncertainly. Josh raised his eyebrow at her and frowned, making her giggle.
“I don’t know.” She admitted. “I guess I’m just starting to wonder if we could have done anything to prevent this.” Josh pulled her to him and hugged her.
“Hey, what happened to miss “it’s a sucky situation, but it’s all ok”? I liked her.” He mumbled. Hayley let out a short, forced laugh into his chest and gently pulled away from him.
“Hayles,” Josh said seriously, looking her in the eyes, “I don’t think there is anything we could have done. Don’t go thinking you’re a bad parent. You’re not.”
Hayley sighed and nodded. “It’s always the quiet ones…” She mumbled.
“I know!” Josh laughed. “I definitely thought it would be Jake, if anyone.” He admitted. Hayley nodded in agreement and pulled herself closer to Josh. He allowed her to bury her head in his chest and he began rubbing her back the best he could in their current position.
“Mmm” She groaned. “That feels nice.” Josh smiled and kissed the top of her head.
Within minutes, they were both fast asleep.

Again, sorry so boring. I'll think up more exciting stuff for the next chapter on the plane. haha. Gottagobye!
